Only one diesel stop between Woomera to Coober Pedy.
Woomera was so windy that we struggled to get the annex up for Amy and Granny to sleep in. The town was meticulously maintained but deserted, almost like a ghost town, quite eerie. This is a picture of Tim at the Woomera Missile Park.

I’m reminded of a fictitious but entertaining account of some American (naturally) who attached JATOs to his vehicle and promptly shot to the lead in the Darwin awards as his car likewise shot away, became airborne, and embedded itself half way up a cliff face. As I said, fictitious, no real idiots were harmed…
I should also point out that it’s the rocket next to the car that reminded me.
